Staying on Mull
Cluaran self-catering cottage is ideal for up to 4 people. we are open all year and based in Salen.
We have good amenities on hand with Cafes, pub, takeaway fish and chips and more. There is a well stocked grocery shop, filling station and garage. We are situated in the center and narrowest part of the Island it's an ideal base for you to explore this beautiful island.
The lovely Aros bay is a 5 minute walk away with lovely views over the sound of Mull. Seals, waders and often an otter will be around.
The Isle of Mull has so much to offer at any time of the year covering a wide range of interests. Gorgeous unspoilt beaches, stunning scenery, beautiful wild flowers and of course the wonderful wildlife. The weather is never boring and yes, we get rain giving us fantastic waterfalls and a colorful landscape. Winter can be mild as we are on the gulf stream. Snow is mostly on the mountains the icing on the top. Spring and Summer gives us our returning birds, nesting eagles and spring flowers. Boat trips for fantastic scenary, Whales and Dolphins, puffins and much more. Late Summer into Autumn Young Eagles, rutting deer, Autumn colours and rainbows.
The cottage is attached to our house and has its own entrance, and off-road parking. Overlooking our large garden there are lovely views over the fields where red deer are often close to the cottage and eagles often fly over.
Cluaran cottage works well from 1 to 4 people, with each bedroom having their own shower room. They are at opposite ends of the cottage allowing privacy

Always a home from home,
Pity weather was so poor and car breakdown didnt help- lucky Karen was here too (and managed to make it to Lunga on the most reasonable day of the week) Enjoyable nevertheless. roll on October for our next visit.
John and Stuart Yorkshire, 14-21 May `22
The usual warm welcome from Jacqui and Mike and update on wildlife locations.
Weather was showers and sun but we managed to get out for several hours every day and had excellent sightings of White-tailed eagle, Golden Eagle and otters.
A surprise sighting of an Osprey carrying a fish was brilliant. Hen Harriers and short eared owls were also sighted.
The cuckoos were annoyingly in hiding.
See you next year.
